Key Features

Technique Builder: In addition to over 70 electrochemical techniques and 6 ASTM-standard presets, the Technique Builder allows users to design intricate experimental sequences, supporting up to 100 unique steps per technique. The “wait” and “loop” functions enable the creation of complex experimental chains that can be saved as custom applications, promoting both reproducibility and efficiency in the lab.

Modify on the Fly: A standout feature of EC-Lab® is its Modify on the Fly capability, allowing researchers to adjust experimental parameters in real-time. This flexibility makes it easier to adapt to unexpected results, fostering dynamic and exploratory research.

Safety limits: The software also prioritizes safety with configurable limit parameters. Researchers can set limits on factors such as temperature, capacity, and potential, either for individual techniques or entire experimental series. EC-Lab® can automatically terminate an experiment or skip to the next sequence based on these predefined limits, even integrating input from external devices, ensuring the safety of both the experiment and equipment.

The Global View interface allows researchers to manage and control multiple instruments simultaneously from a single platform. Remote access via LAN further enhances data management and support collaborative research.

External device coupling: EC-Lab® has an advanced external device configuration menu that can be set to control and record data from a separate instrument, such as a QCM, a RRDE or a thermostatic chamber. This gives users total control over all their instruments from one single interface, simplifying and facilitating experiment setups and management.

Calibration: Integrated calibration software will ensure that your instrument will stand the test of time and the rigors of the laboratory – for measurements that remain accurate, however long you use your instrument.

Data Processing

For data analysis, EC-Lab® offers a comprehensive suite of tools, including Electrochemical Impedance Spectroscopy (EIS) modeling and Cyclic Voltammetry (CV) data fitting. These advanced analysis capabilities simplify the interpretation of complex data, making it easier to extract meaningful insights.

Additionally, EC-Lab® supports customizable graph displays, allowing researchers to tailor data visualization to their specific needs. This feature enhances the clarity of results and facilitates deeper analysis, providing a more intuitive understanding of experimental outcomes.

Built with embedded firmware and memory, BioLogic potentiostats protect against data loss during short disconnection. This also ensures that EC-Lab® delivers reliable, high-precision measurements because data is processed at the hardware timebase, regardless of the experiment sampling rate.

Constantly Evolving

The software is continuously updated based on user feedback, ensuring it stays aligned with the evolving needs of the scientific community.

With its versatile feature set, EC-Lab® is designed to support both routine analyses and complex experimental designs by blending versatility, adaptability, safety, analytical power, and user-centric design. By providing a robust platform that evolves needs, EC-Lab® is an indispensable tool for electrochemistry research.
